DoubleKiller Pro will find duplicate or similar files by comparing any combination of name, size, date and content; optionally just a certain part or with a given tolerance.
Files can be filtered by masks like *.jpg, attributes or file size. When the scan is finished a list containing all duplicates found is displayed and you can select the files to be deleted, moved to the Recycle Bin or a backup folder or replaced by shortcuts.
Automatic selection allows to mark the oldest or biggest files of each set or all files in a certain directory for removal, for example. You can save scan sessions and load them any time later to review or continue your work.
The complete process of choosing directories, scanning for duplicates and removing files can be automated via command line switches. The user interface is multilingual and can be translated to your language using freely downloadable language files. An optional help file provides first-step information, a complete reference and usage examples.

FileAlyzer is a tool to analyze files - the name itself was initially just a typo of FileAnalyzer, but after a few days I decided to keep it. FileAlyzer is a useful file analyzer utility that will come in handy.
FileAlyzer allows a basic analysis of files (showing file properties and file contents in hex dump form) and is able to interpret common file contents like resources structures (like text, graphics, HTML, media and PE).
Using FileAlyzer is as simple as viewing the regular properties of a file - just right-click the file you want to analyze and choose Open in FileAlyzer.
FileAlyzer also provides a hex dump of the file content, calculates MD5 and CRC-32 sums and offers format specific previews (HTML preview, Archive preview, INI content and more).
FileAlyzer integrates into the Explorer right-click menu and offers a superior alternative to the standard Windows file property dialog.
Here are some key features of "FileAlyzer":
General - The initial information FileAlyzer will show is not much different from what the Windows Properties dialog will show you: file name and location, size, date & times, version and attributes. In addition to those, FileAlyzer will show you both the CRC-32 and the Message Digest 5 checksum of the file, too.
Version - Another important feature that the Windows Properties dialog shows is also implemented in FileAlyzer: for executable files and system libraries, it shows the Version resources if available.
Resources - Many executable files have so-called resources - bitmaps, icons and text they use, as well as menus, dialogs and whole windows are usually defined in resources. If you don't know what the purpose of a file is, having a look at its text (see screenshot) or bitmaps may give you an idea.
PE Header - PE stands for Portable Executable and is a description for the structure of modern Windows (and other platform) files. Nearly all executables and system libraries follow this structure. FileAlyzer can display an insight into this structure on its PE Header tab, showing everything from the target platform to addresses of specific parts of the file.
Sections - A modern PE file makes clear differences between code (those bytes representing instructions the program will execute), data, resources and other important parts. The Sections tab in FileAlyzer will display the sections contained in the file you analyze. If you want to see the contents of a specific section, just double-click it and FileAlyzer will jump to the beginning of that section on the Hexdump tab.
Import/Export table - Most windows programs will use Windows libraries for basic functionality. Many libraries also export their own functions. FileAlyzer is able to display names of both imported and exported functions of a PE file.
Hex dump - Are you a byte junkie and want to look at the file content with a hex editor? FileAlyzer has a fast and easy hex viewer with search capability. Dynamic width of hex dump depending on window width, and string recognition listing all strings used in a separate list (linked to hex dump).
Image preview - If the file is a graphic that is supported by Windows, the graphic can be previewed on an Image preview tab in FileAlyzer.
Text preview - If the file you open in FileAlyzer is a text file of some sort, you may want to view it's contents, like the classic QuickView from Windows 9x allowed you to. FileAlyzer can display plain text as well as text in the Rich Text Format (files with the extension .rtf).
INI contents - Previewing an INI file in the text preview is nice, but for a quick overview, a more structures list may be better. So FileAlyzer will show you the sections in one list, with a second list showing the contents of the currently selected section.
HTML preview - If you want to have a look at a suspicious HTML file, maybe from you Application Data folder (where C2.lop stores 2 such files) or in your Temporary Internet Files, but you do not want to use Internet Explorer (to avoid active contents of the file to be executed), you can also use FileAlyzer. As it uses its own HTML parser instead of IE for this preview, this is much safer.
Zip preview - If the file in question is a zip file (it does not necessarily need to have the .zip extension as FileAlyzer will detect if it is one), FileAlyzer will display the contents of the zip file and allow you to extract one or more files from it. This function needs the external library UnzDll.dll, which is installed along with FileAlyzer.
Database preview - If the file is a comma- or tab-separated text file, FileAlyzer will display its contents in grid form. Old dBase databases (.dbf) will be displayed in two lists: one displaying the structure, one the actual contents (small databases will be read completely into memory, larger database entries will be loaded upon access).
Media preview - If the file is an audio or video file, a tab Media preview will also allow to play back the file. this media preview is still very basic and shouldn't be taken too serious.
ID3 tag - FileAlyzer will display ID3 tags in all v1 versions, including ID3v1, ID3v1.1, Lyrics v3 and Lyrics v3.1 ID3 tags are track information used in MP3 audio files.
RIFF - RIFF is the structure used in WAV (audio) files as well as in AVI (video) files. FileAlyzer is able to display the properties and tree structure of RIFF files. If you double-click an entry in the tree, FileAlyzer will jump to that address on the Hex dump tab

Bug Pad allows yout to manage your work items any way you want.
Bug Pad makes it easy to see exactly which work items you are interested in with dynamic filters, and allows you to save any filter for later use. Arrange your hierarchy of folders to suit your development process, then allow each user to create their own filtered views so they can manage their work items any way they want.
While Bug Pad allows your users to view and access work items in whichever way works for them, you can create rules that make sure your process is always followed exactly as you need. The rules are applied every time a work item is edited to make sure your procedures for working with them is followed.
Bug Pad allows you to access the work item database while offline from your laptop or home PC, and easily synchronize your changes. It is a simple matter to synchronize your laptop when you are connected to the work item database.
If you want to synchronize with a machine that is not regularly connected, you can do so by creating a synch file and transferring it between locations. In either case, any changes you have made while offline will be propagated to the master database, and any changes other users have made will be copied to you local database.
Any conflicts where someone else has edited the same work item as you will be brought to your attention and you can see and compare both changes.

xRecurseDiff is a sotware that can rapidly traverse entire directory trees to show different version of the same files, for example to compare different version of the same project.
For every file in the first directory searches in the second for files having the same name. A report containing results is shown. A detailed diff output can be shown. Search can be case-insensitive and limited by a char filter.
In "library" working mode it compares only files basenames, while in "project" mode it compares relatives paths too. In "files" working mode it compares directly two files.
For the diff output xRecurseDiff uses the nice DiffView widget, extracted from flDiff code.

DeepCopy is a utility program for dealing with windows style shortcuts.
This program will offer you four main functions:
Replace links with their target. Replaces all shortcuts in the given directory tree with the file or directory that they point to. If you have a shortcut to a directory, that directory will be created, and all the files in that directory will by copied to the new location. If that directory contains links those links will be replaced too.
Update a directory. This function makes a target directory look just like a source directory by making needed updates. This can be used to keep two directories synchronized.
This has the same result as using windows to delete the target directory and making a copy of the source, but it can be significantly faster if there aren't many differences between the source and target.
This function is good for keeping a backup directory synchronized with the original.
Update a directory with links. This function works just like the standard update; but if there are links in the source directory, the actual file or directory is added to the target.
Copy a directory tree. This function makes a copy of a directory structure in another location. This doesn't copy files.

AW-InfoBook is an easy-to-use and simple program that has been designed to keep a library of a large amount of text files, placed in different folders.
The InfoBook window contains two lists, the first contains all the folders memorized and the second one contains all the text files within the folder.
This program loads files (InfoBook, *.IB) that contains all the infos about the folders, where they are placed and the InfoBook internal name.
The maximum number of Folders is 30 but you can create an unlimited number of text files.
Supports AlphaScripts and has an internal Encoding system.
AW-InfoBook is a powerful and flexible text manager that can read your text files from different folders and organizes them in a more accessible way.
The best thing is that InfoBook doesn't create its own files, it keeps the original text files as are, so if you want to remove InfoBook your text files are

FileMagic is a small but powerful utility for reporting or copying the contents of Windows 9x folders, with the option of renaming the copied files.
It operates recursively downwards from the selected folder.
Windows provides no method for getting a hard copy or editable list of files within a directory.
This tool attempts to fill that gap by producing a tab-delimited ASCII text file containing summary information about all the files within a directory, its subdirectories, their subdirectories and so on.
There are columns for the complete file path, size in bytes, file attributes, time & date modified, and just the filename itself.
The output file can be opened in a spreadsheet for printing or further analysis.

S File Finder is a simple, quick and small program that will find files on your PC for you.
It has some features that make it more efficient than the classic Windows file finder.
Double-clicking on a displayed file name will invoke the associated viewer for this file type. These associations are usually set from the Explorer, from the File Manager, or automatically (i.e., without your knowledge or agreement) by the installation of certain programs.
If the finder cannot load the associated view, be sure to check the associations using the tools mentioned above.
