Description:xIP converter - An ip-address encoder/decoder xIP converter is a freeware ip-address encoder application that supports 5 different encoding algorithms. You are running a server without an address, only with your ip? Then you might have an interest that not anyone may easily read your ip-address, but is able to connect to your server! xIP allows you to encode your ip-address with several algorithms to prevent everyone to read it easily! You are able to choose between 3 different encoding formats which each have several options to customize them even more. Encode your ip-address into DWORD / Hexadecimal or Octal format. If you enter a hostname instead of an ip-address, xIP will resolve it on the fly to its associated ip-address. A large preview window shows you how each encoded ip-address will look like! And one of the most powerful feature is the generic ip-address decoder. It allows you to decode any ip-address encoded with one of the 3 formats mentioned above. The builtin example window shows how the output of all algorithms will look like. The hostname resolver resolves any entered hostname to its ip-address and let xIP work with it. Another feature is the generic ip-address decoder that decodes an encoded ip-address even if you don't know which algorithm was used to encrypt it. The best, most browsers understand the encoded ip-addresses but (unskilled) users won't identify the IP.
