ExplorerXP is a very fast, small, compact and innovative FREEWARE (for non - commercial use) file manager for Windows 2000/XP.

Simple File Joiner combines many different files into a new file. If you've downloaded parts of a larger file that were split into separate pieces when posted to a news server or you have a large collection of MPEG movies split into different sections, you can rejoin them with Simple File Joiner.
Simple File Joiner works on text files, some movie files (like mpg movies that are all the same size and encoded the same, but not with avi files), and others. if the files you are trying to join together each have header information that pertains to that particular file, SFJ will not work. This includes GIF, BMP, JPG, AVI, DOC, etc.
Often, when you see a file set with the extensions .001, .002, .003, etc. they will join correctly with SFJ. Be sure to test the newly joined file before deleting the old source files

ReHash is an easy-to-use console-based hash calculation tool written in standard C++. It may be freely distributed and modified under the terms of the BSD open source license.
It supports many algorithms, for example Adler32, CRC-16, CRC-16-CCITT, CRC-16-XMODEM, CRC-32, ELF-32, FCS-16, FCS-32, FNV-32, FNV-64, GHash-32-3, GHash-32-5, GOST-Hash, HAVAL (3/4/5, 256), MD2, MD4, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512, Size64, Tiger, XUM32. For a full list see the ReHash documentation manual (included in downloadable package).
It is possible to compute HMACs of all algorithms.
The tool can output the hashes in various formats like plain text, HTML, XML and CSV.
ReHash can be fully configured using some of the many command-line arguments which can be passed to the tool. You can selectively activate/disable hash algorithms and set scanning options like scanning subdirectories recursively and excluding/including files using advanced file pattern matching

Compare Suite provides file and folder comparison with merge and reporting abilities.
File comparison deals with plain text, binary, office documents, such as MS Office files (.doc and .xls), Adobe Acrobat documents (.pdf), Web Pages (.htm).
Comparing folders function is useful when you have to compare not a single file, but all files within some folder. Note: Compare Suite's navigation and reporting features are still available for folders comparison.
If you work with plain text, then you can edit compared documents, apply or decline changes.

Extension renamer is intended for the purpose of batch renaming of file extensions. This can be achieved with any file extension and can be changed from anything to anything. Its primary function was for renaming the files that Imscan produces into .tif files.
Note that it is NOT a file converter. It will not change the contents of a file, merely rename the extension, so only files types that will accept extension changes can be manipulated.
Examples of files that this program could be used for include:
.doc (Word) -> .txt (Note/Wordpad) and back
If your computer uses proprietary file formats then these extensions may be able to be changed to make a file that can be accessible to other software.
Also included is a search function that will return all file types of a user specified format
